This policy describes how the personal data of users who visit the BUTÈ Decor Studio website (hereinafter, the "Website") is processed.

The Data Controller takes particular account of the right to privacy and the protection of personal data and processes users' data in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, and minimization.

Types of data processed:

The Website collects only personal data provided voluntarily by the user, in particular:

  • first and last name

  • email

  • content of the message sent via the contact form

In addition, during normal browsing, the IT systems acquire certain technical data (such as IP address, browser type, device information) necessary for the functioning of the Website. This data is not used to identify the user.

There are no restricted areas, account registrations, or login systems.

Purpose of data processing:

The data of website users is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Responding to user requests and 

  • Comply with legal obligations.

Legal basis for processing:

Data processing is based on the following legal bases:

  • Art. 6, para. 1, letter b) GDPR – implementation of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject;

  • Art. 6, para. 1, letter c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations.

The Website does not carry out marketing, newsletter or profiling activities.

Should additional features be introduced in the future (e.g., analysis tools or promotional communications), specific prior consent will be requested.

Methods of processing:

The data is processed exclusively in electronic format and managed through the Squarespace platform on which the Website is based and through emails sent to the Data Controller on a voluntary basis.

Data retention:

Maximum 24 months, except where required by law.

Recipients:

Personal data may be disclosed to:

  • IT and hosting service providers (in particular Squarespace), appointed as Data Processors pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR;

  • the Data Controller's legal, tax, or financial advisors, limited to purposes related to regulatory obligations or the protection of rights within the European Union;

  • public authorities, in cases provided for by law.

Extra-EU data transfers:

The Website is hosted on the Squarespace platform, which may involve the processing of data outside the European Economic Area.

In such cases, the transfer takes place in compliance with Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR, on the basis of adequate safeguards.

Data security:

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are also adopted by Squarespace.

Rights of the data subject:

The user may exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR at any time, including:

  • obtaining access to their personal data;

  • requesting its rectification or erasure;

  • request the restriction of processing;

  • object to processing;

  • request data portability (in the cases provided for).

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

Provision of data by the data subject:

The provision of data is optional; however, failure to provide the necessary data will prevent the Data Controller from responding to user requests.
